A small relaxing nail salon is hidden in the heart of Shawlands Glasgow away from the busy world where you can relax and switch off. A place with a warm and welcoming friendly atmosphere. Services are designed in a unique way to preserve and restore the healthy structure of your natural nails. A combination of science and beauty our unique way of gel product application for the maximum benefit to your nails without compromising the health of the natural nails. Our unique way of delivering services makes your nails last and look fresh for many weeks.
We are gel nail experts. We have specialized in all aspects of gel nail enhancements.
The initial consultation helps us to tailor our services based on the needs of your nails. Throughout our 10 years of experience, we realized no two clients have the same nail types.
We greatly invest time and energy in each new team member to put through extensive in-house training to deliver the service to you on high standards and to keep up to date with the latest trends.

10 years of experience in the nail industry. The founder of The Nail Corner. She completed The Nail Shapes and Structures Master Class by Nail Expert Academy in Edinburgh and constantly improving her skills to ensure services are delivered to high standards. This knowledge is passed on to every team member in her salon.

Nail Technician
Manuela worked for many years in a high-end spa environment where she acquired vast knowledge of the beauty industry.
Manuela loves creating sophisticated, classy nail designs especially french. She loves various shades of nude colours.

Anita started as our client for 5 years. Loving her perfect nails done by us she decided to join our team.
She loves tattoos and art. In her free time, she loves watching true crime series. She has a cat who is a true diva.

Aftercare
DO’S
Be especially careful in the first 24 hours after application and avoid intense heat during this period (e.g. saunas, hot bath, or sunbeds).
Use cuticle oil daily to keep your nails nourished, stimulate growth and prevent lifting. Apply the oil on the cuticles and under the free edge too.
Always wear rubber gloves when washing up, cleaning or gardening.
Bleach and alcohol-based substances react with gel products and soften their structure and can turn the shiny topcoat matt.
Always wash your hands thoroughly after being in contact with chlorine, insect repellant, or sunscreen.
Always return to the salon for maintenance and removal and follow any advice given to you by your nail technician.
DONT’ S
Avoid long periods of time in water (e.g. long baths, swimming, washing up).
Do not use your nails as tools (e.g. screwdriver) as this could lead to cracking.
Never pick or peel the product off as this could damage your natural nail.
Never leave longer than 4 weeks between appointments, the nails could crack

Rubber Base
Why? Uh, because it’s awesome?
The rubber content in the base allows super strength to be delivered to even the flakiest, thinnest of nails and also allows nail flexibility to be enhanced past the nail bed.
Usually, when thin nails attempt to grow past the finger tip, they snap off or begin to peel or flake - this can prevent growth and cause lifting and chipping in gel manicures.
With the added flexibility Rubber Base provides, the nail is able to move and bend without snapping or flaking meaning nails grow longer and colors don’t chip.
Put simply, Rubber Base gives strength and saves your nails would usually get chips and lifting within days… Happy Customer? Happy Nail Tech.
Builder in a Bottle™, BIAB™, and Cover Nude Builders are a range of soak-off gel builders that are ideal for sculpting and tip extensions. It can also use it alone on the natural nail bed to enhance the natural nails ability to grow or increase strength in clients with particularly brittle nails.
Much like Rubber Base, BIAB™ increases the nails flexibility - meaning nails are much less likely to snap.
They come in a range of super popular nude colours which can be used alone over forms (or underneath any one of our super-pigmented TGB colours) for a super strong extension. They can also be used as a treatment on natural nails that “just WON’T grow”.
Gelpot is a hard gel that must be filed off and is a fantastic, safer replacement for Acrylic die-hards.
BIAB™ is painted on (we like to use a ‘floating’ method) and can be soaked off using neat acetone.
Basically, Gelpot is the bigger, stronger sibling of BIAB™, and although GelPot is tougher and can extend further than it’s BIAB™ family, it is not quite as restorative on the nail.

Absolutely, no fur babies are ever harmed in any way during the production of TGB products.

Bookings
As a busy salon, we advise you to book in advance to get the preferred time
We advise making at least 2-3 appointments ahead
If you are unable to book online that's due to being fully booked.
We might contact you to move the appointment to 15+/- if you book online
Make sure you are booked for the correct service. If you are unsure please contact the salon via email or social media
Appointments that have not been confirmed will be automatically deleted from the diary by our system to avoid inconvenience please confirm the appointment when the notification is received via text or email.
Please make sure the appointment is booked for the right service if there is a product on the nails needed to be removed before service that requires extra time. If there is not enough time cancellation fee might be charged (50%) of the service price as it is considered a missed appointment.
Please bear in mind we do not service acrylic nails. If you have acrylic on we advise you to contact the salon where it was applied and book in for removal before booking in with us.
WE DO NOT INFILL NAILS DONE BY OTHER SALONS, IF THERE IS GEL PRODUCT ON YOUR NAILS PLEASE BOOK IN FOR REMOVAL BEFORE SERVICE
Nail Art and Add-Ons: If there is a nail art or add-ons booked in together with other services but you change your mind at the last minute unfortunately we still need to charge you for add-ons as we allocated the time for you in advance. We suggest checking your appointment in advance and you can adjust up to 24 hours prior to your appointment free of charge.
If we can't find a space for you to come in within 5 weeks additional charges will apply as well grown out nails require more time to maintain.

Arrival
We kindly request that our clients arrive at least 10 minutes early.
You have time to pick from our extensive color range, wash your hands and settle down.
Free parking on street but it could be busy bear in mind to allow extra time to find a parking space
Late Arrival
We kindly ask clients to give us as much notice as possible.
We understand that life can get in the way and unexpected might happen to cause you to be late. Please allow enough time for parking and check for roadworks. We operate on 10 minutes discretion from your scheduled appointment. Running later than that we cannot guarantee to be able to carry out the service, therefore, the appointment will be marked as a no-show and the full price of the treatment is charged.
Cancellation/Reschedule
Appointments can be canceled up to 24 hours before an appointment with No Fee.
Rescheduling free of charge up to 12 hours prior to appointment time. Appointments wished to be rescheduled within the 12 hours period prior to the appointment time will be considered canceled appointments and a 50% cancellation fee applied
No show must pay full price.
Repeat no shows
If you are no-showed more than 3 times you need to pre-pay for future appointments and might be banned from booking online.
We understand due to covid you might need to cancel at the very last minute however in most cases like that we cannot fill up space, therefore, cancellation fees still apply to cover the nail technician's wage and the employer's contribution to the government.
Consultation
We value our clients therefore to provide the best service possible safely we carry out consultations for your first time in the salon. We collect basic information as well as basic medical history and consent for receiving updates about our salon.
Consultation cards are stored locked away for 7 years.
Privacy and data protection
We collect only basic data for customer support and for in case of emergency. We store full name, phone number, and email addresses. All data is securely stored in our online diary system provided by Shedul/Fresha. Our online diary provider gives you access to your information any time you log in to your account.
Deposit
We might request a small amount of nonrefundable deposit for group bookings, which comes off from the total price at check out.
Children in the salon
The salon is limited in space, and sharp objects and chemicals are in constant use. We cannot guarantee the safety of unsupervised children. During treatment, the nail technician works on both hands at the same time. Please take all of these into account when bringing a child/children.
Age requirements
Due to our Insurance policy, we only offer files and polishes for anyone who is age under 16. Every person aged under 16 must have a parent or guardian accompanying them while the service is provided.
Damaged or lost property
We kindly ask our clients to look after their own belongings while at The Nail Corner as we are unable to take responsibility for items left unattended or damaged. Please bear in mind we use acetone and nail varnish remover inside the salon, take extra care with your belongings.
Right to refuse services
We value our staff members and no one should feel threatened at work. Our staff is trained to act politely and professionally towards our valued customers. We do not tolerate any form of abuse, disrespect, or rudeness towards The Nail Corner team. Please note we reserve the right to refuse treatments if we feel the customer is acting in this manner or under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
We reserve the right to refuse to provide you with the service if you have any medical condition that would prevent us from carrying out the service.
In case of failure to disclose any relevant information regarding any medical condition, that would prevent us from performing the service, on the Consultation Form and still attending the appointment the service will be refused and 100% of the service fee applied.
Please note we do not offer to remove any products from nails applied by other salons. If you have gel product on your nails not applied by us we reserve the right to refuse the service.
Please note that any written or verbal impoliteness is not tolerated by any of our staff members. We are happy to listen if everything is explained in a calm polite manner and we always try our best to come up with the best solution for you. If we refuse to provide you with the service it is because we believe we cannot help you.
Repair and aftercare policy
We hope that you are enjoying your manicure. We have 3 days repair policy on normal polish and 7 days repair policy on artificial nails. Please get in touch with us on social media including a photo. We are happy to carry out repairs for our clients free of charge.
Please note services are non-refundable.

We sell gift vouchers online only.
COVID-19 Update. We implemented strict measures to comply with the government's guidelines to make our salon as safe as possible. Clients can wear masks and can ask nail technicians to do the same. Every surface area is disinfected before use and between clients. Tools are sanitized and we use disposable versions when possible. We kindly ask each of our visitors to wash their hands before service and wear a mask while in the salon. We also added a Hepa air purifier to clean the air of harmful particles. Workstations are spaced out and divided with plastic space dividers.

We have no access to your card details unless you make an appointment with us and you agree with us to charge the service fee to the payment method saved on Fresha. After each transaction, you receive an invoice from us.
